Global settings
How do I set global project defaults?
What are global settings?
Global settings determine the settings for all your projects. This includes who can view new projects, download assets, or select proof quality.
Why set global settings?
Configuring global settings ensure brand compliance across all projects. It ensures that your assets are aligned and makes it easier for everyone to follow a simpler review process.
How do I configure default project settings?
Go to team settings and find global settings in the dropdown menu.
Default Project Settings
You’ll then see the options to set project defaults that automatically apply to all existing and new projects.
These settings allow you to decide which team members can view the project, which files can be downloaded, and the image quality for all assets.
You can specify the default image settings as well.
Proof Quality & Thumbnail position
One of the most important settings is optimizing the images for quality or performance. That’s because high-quality images can sometimes slow down performance. So depending on your needs, you can decide which would be better.
You can also decide on the thumbnail position.
Color Profile
And finally, apply the color profile that you want to see on the software. Different systems and software often show the same colors, confusing the reviewers. With this setting, you can be sure that everyone’s viewing the same color profile.
Save settings when you’re done.
Anytime you upload a new proof, the project default settings will automatically apply.
Please note: Only team admins can upload and control project default settings.
Can I overwrite global settings for an individual proof?
The project defaults are in sync with every new and existing project setting.
However, if you wish to change the settings for an individual proof, you can do that by opening the settings of the proof.
Doing so will overwrite the project defaults settings in that case. But if you upload a new proof, it would still apply the project defaults.
