GoVisually subscriptions can be modified by switching from from monthly to yearly plans - and vice versa.

Changing a subscription often results in a proration: a charge adjustment using the credit card on file at our payment provider (Stripe)

We will prorate your pricing to account for any unused time on your current plan. Your new invoice will be generated in your billing area.

Upgrading between Billing Cycles

When upgrading your plan in the middle of a billing cycle, GoVisually will use pro-rata billing.

Your account will not be charged the full amount of the plan that you upgraded or added. Instead, you will be charged from the day you made the changes through the end of your current billing cycle.

Full price of the plan selected will be charged in the following billing cycle.

What is Pro-Rated Billing?

Pro-rated billing (also called pro-rata billing) is a fair billing method where you only pay for the exact time you use a service. When you switch between GoVisually plans or billing cycles, the system calculates charges based on the number of days remaining in your current billing cycle.

How Pro-Rated Billing Works at GoVisually

When you make changes to your GoVisually subscription, the system automatically:

  1. Calculates the unused portion of your current plan
  2. Credits this amount to your account
  3. Charges you for the new plan from the day of change until the end of your billing cycle
  4. Processes the adjustment through Stripe using your stored payment method

Common Questions About Pro-Rated Billing

When will I see the pro-rated charge?

The pro-rated charge or credit will be processed immediately upon making a plan change. You'll receive an updated invoice in your billing area.

What if I have a credit after downgrading?

Any credit will be applied to your next billing cycle. If the credit exceeds your next payment, the remaining balance will continue to roll over until exhausted.

How do refunds work with pro-rated billing?

GoVisually doesn't typically issue direct refunds for plan downgrades. Instead, any credit is applied to future billing cycles.
